Dugas Community Park includes Dumont Hill Historic site. We currently have some sites to see and things to do. Watch as this list continues to grow!
Student Activities
Students of all ages are welcome at the park. We are currently working with educators at WKU and Allen County Schools to develop curriculum to meet the needs of today’s students. We are also partnering with informal educators to ensure a variety of educational activities for students and lifelong learners.
Working Farm
The farm is currently home to three quarter horses. Several acres are also utilized for hay production. There are several streams, a pond, a horse training ring and stables on site.
Walking-Hiking Trails
Dumont Hill currently offers nearly four and one-half miles of trails with a range of surfaces and difficulty. People looking for an easy stroll can stay on the paved trail that begins at the parking lot. Those looking for more scenery and a few hills can hit the nature trail that branches off the paved trail.
Amphitheater and Pavilion
The amphitheater and pavilion are sited in the Dumont Hill section of the park. The amphitheater seats between one and two thousand spectators. While the pavilion allows for seating of over 100 people with enclosed restroom facilities, a kitchen area, as well as an adjacent playground. These spaces are ideal for a wide variety of events.
