Fundraising and Special Events Coordinator
We are looking for an organized, creative, and lively individual to join our team. Under the supervision of the Executive Director, this position is responsible for special events coordination and managing our fundraising efforts. Works closely with programming and fundraising committees. Donors, volunteers and guests alike will be the primary audience.
This role is responsible for soliciting sponsors, donors, advertising, ticket sales, volunteer coordination, event logistics for all events and fundraisers.
Candidate must be able to have a satisfactory background check, as well as pass a drug test.

Al Barman, President, is a franchise owner of four area Sonic restaurants. Al also serves the community as a member of the Allen County Board of Education. Mr. Barman received his B.S. in Recreation from Western Kentucky University and his M.S. in Recreation and Park Administration from Indiana University.
Matt Pedigo is the News Editor for the Citizen-Times. Matt also serves the community through the Board of Directors of the Allen County Agency for Substance Abuse Policy, Scottsville-Allen County Chamber of Commerce, South Central Kentucky Crime Stoppers, and Friends of Dumont Hill. Mr. Pedigo graduated from Western Kentucky University in Journalism/Photojournalism.
Brian Carter is Director of District Operations for the Allen County Board of Education. Brian also serves the community on the Board of Directors on the Scottsville/ Allen County Chamber of Commerce, Advisory Board for the Laura Turner Dugas Fund for Allen County at the Community Foundation of South Central Kentucky. Mr. Carter received a B.S. in Education and a Masters in Educational administration from Western Kentucky University.
Bill Hagenbuch, Secretary, is the Allen County Attorney. Mr. Hagenbuch also serves the community as Past President of the Core. Bill received his BA from Vanderbilt University and his J.D. from Emory University.
Janet Johnson is the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service’s Allen County Extension Agent. Ms. Johnson also serves the community as a member of the Board of Directors of the Laura Goad Turner Charitable Foundation, the Medical Center Bowling Green/Scottsville, the Friends of Barren River Lake and the Heart of Scottsville. Janet received her B.S. in Home Economics Education and a Masters of Arts Education-Adult Education from Western Kentucky University.
Rondal Turner is the JROTC Senior Instructor for the Allen County Board of Education at Allen County Scottsville High School. Colonel Turner received his B.S. in Agriculture from Western Kentucky University, a Masters of Public Administration degree from Kentucky State University, as well as a Masters of Strategic Studies from U.S. Army War College
Adam Tabor, Treasurer, is the Community President for Edmonton State Bank. Mr. Tabor also serves the community as Chairman of the Allen County Health Department, Treasurer of the Allen County-Scottsville Industrial Development Authority, and the Board of Directors for the Scottsville-Allen County Chamber of Commerce. Adam earned his degree in History from Western Kentucky University.
Donald Smith is the President of the College Heights Foundation at Western Kentucky University. Donald is an ex-officio member of the College Heights Foundation Board of Directors. He also serves the area as a member of the Board of Directors of the of Bowling Green East Little League, the WKU Foundation Board of Trustees and the Trust Committee at Broadway United Methodist Church in Bowling Green. Mr. Smith received his B.A. from Western Kentucky University and both his Masters and Doctorate of Education degrees from Vanderbilt University.
Wayne Dugas is a retired from Dollar General Corporation. Mr. Dugas serves on the Board of Directors of the Dugas Family Foundation of Florida, as well as the Dugas Family Foundation of Tennessee. Wayne is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University.
Mark Huntsman, Vice President, is a retired dentist and current Scottsville City Council member. Mark also serves the community as a member of the Advisory Board for the Laura Turner Dugas Fund for Allen County at the Community Foundation of South Central Kentucky and as Treasurer of the Allen County Historical Society. Dr. Huntsman graduated from the University of Kentucky, as well as the University of Kentucky School of Dentistry.
Dennis Harper is Project Manager/Estimator for Gunter Roofing, Inc. Mr. Harper is a Magistrate of the Allen County Fiscal Court, as well a Treasure of the Board of Directors of Cedar Springs Volunteer Fire Department. Dennis earned his degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Western Kentucky University.
Brittany Fisher, Executive Director, received her B.S. in Geography-Land Use and Environmental Planning from Western Kentucky University and her Masters of Urban Planning-Land Use and Environmental Planning and Planning Administration from the University of Louisville. Mrs. Fisher was co-project manager for the Elizabethtown Nature Park Phase I during her employment at the City of Elizabethtown. She looks forward to creating an experience just as unique in Scottsville for everyone to enjoy!
Nancy McGuire, Administrative Assistant, biography forthcoming
