Foster Dugas Memorial Oxbow Campground
The Foster Dugas Memorial Oxbow Campground is designated for nonprofit groups to experience nature in its purest form. This primitive site offers a truly back-to-basics retreat—free of electricity, water, or sewer hookups—encouraging visitors to unplug, slow down, and reconnect with the natural world. Designed for mission-driven gatherings, youth programming, outdoor education, and team-building, the Oxbow fosters simplicity, reflection, and a deeper appreciation for the outdoors.
What to Expect
Primitive Tent Camping
Experience the beauty of nature with minimal interruption. The Oxbow Campground is intentionally primitive — no electricity, no running water — just campfires, stars, and a chance to unplug and reconnect.
Fire Ring & Gathering Space
Each campsite features a communal fire ring and simple cleared space for tents, group activities, and outdoor meals. It’s the perfect setting for storytelling, reflection, and connection.
Scenic Trails & Nature Access
Within walking distance to miles of wooded trails, creek crossings, and our open-air amphitheater and pavilion, campers have full access to the natural beauty of the greater park grounds during their stay.
